- PIKO TrainBus: The new PIKO TrainBus in our multi-part models offers extended light functions and a power head changeover for braking sections. As of this app version, it is possible to customize the function key assignment and light control for models controlled via the TrainBus.
- mfx calibration: Connection to the decoder in the SmartTester is checked before calibration.
- SmartDecoder 4.1: Project templates adjusted, the CVs required for analog operation were not set correctly.

If a vehicle with a PSD XP5.1 does not, or only incompletely, log on to an mfx-capable command station, an improvement can be achieved by the new mfx calibration.
For this, the "expert mode" (header blue) must be activated in the PSP app.
The XP 5.1 decoder must be plugged into the PIKO SmartTester, so it cannot be calibrated in the loco via the track output!
In the PSP app goto the menu "Info" and there into the sub menu "Tools".
- Light scheme
You can display a graphic for the Piko locomotive in the Expert mode in the area FunktionMapping, in which the light wiring of the locomotive is shown graphically.

Support SmartDecoder XP 5.1:
- The new PIKO SmartDecoder XP 5.1 can be used via the main menu.
- Testing the decoder: You now have more than the usual 29 function keys (F0 - F28) available with the SmartDecoder XP 5.1.
- Decoder Programming: You can set all the CVs of your SmartDecoder XP 5.1 graphically via this menu. We have provided you with useful information about the respective setting in many places via the (i) symbol.
- Projects: The first locomotive projects for the SmartDecoder XP 5.1 are available. These projects are marked with a red symbol [XP 5.1]. 4.1 projects are constantly being revised to adapt them to the functions of the XP 5.1 decoder.
- Applies to SmartDecoder 4.1 Sound and XP 5.1 Sound. You can fill unused sound slots with your own sounds. Select a sound slot in the app and click on the [Replace] symbol in the upper right corner. You can use a .wav or .mp3 file as the source. The PIKO SmartDecoder plays mono sound. Only the 1st sound channel (linker channel) of the file is used. This function is only available under Windows for the time being.
- For the communication with the SmartDecoder XP 5.1 it is necessary to update the firmware of the SmartProgrammer. This is only possible under Microsoft Windows and with a USB connection.

- With PSP firmware 0.62 it is possible to transfer data to SmartDecoder with the latest version. The warning that no factory settings can be written has been removed again
- Connection to the first PSP found was established although this setting was switched off.
- For CV 1, 17, 18 and 29, the system no longer switches to ACK mode.
- In the control panel, CVs can now be set using XPOM. Address 0 is valid for POM and XPOM.
- The update process for the PSP did not update the installed version after the update. A connection to the PSP could only be restored after an app restart.

- PIKO Light Controller
Some PIKO locomotives of N and TT gauge have an additional light controller. This light controller has separate dimming settings for the light outputs. Function keys are assigned to the light controller outputs in the function mapping. The settings for the light controller are loaded directly from the projects together with the driving and sound parameters. You can only make settings on the light controller if the SmartDecoder 4.1 is located in the locomotive.

The PIKO function decoders are also recognised by the app with a firmware < 9.
- CV lists export [expert view]
In the "Programming decoders" section of the CVs menu, under "CV Export" you have the option of exporting a CV list with all decoder CVs as a table (CSV file). Furthermore, in the same menu under "Changed CVs" you can view a list of all values changed in the current programming session.
- Multiple Smart Programmers [Expert View]
If several PIKO SmartProgrammers are connected to your device, the app will always connect to the first one found. You can now deactivate this behaviour in the settings. If the setting "Connect to PSP directly" is set to "Off", you will always be shown a list of available SmartProgrammers.

Projects for the function decoder are marked with an [F] in the project list.
The configuration of the function decoder can be modified and tested.
- Edit sound module
If the sound module is connected to the PSP/PST you can set this via [Program Decoder].
If the sound module is connected to the decoder and installed in the locomotive, this already worked.
- Optional more compact view
In the settings, the user can specify that buttons should be displayed smaller.
