The prototype of the PIKO model of the BR 140 in beige-blue version of the DB in Ep. IV with double lamps and wear buffer plank convinces with its successful head shape without disturbing mold parting edges, free-standing grab irons and filigree pantographs. In addition, the digitally switchable cab lighting is fitted as standard. The five-pole motor provides excellent running characteristics with two large flywheel masses and current collection via eight wheels. To ensure high tractive effort, the PIKO model has, in addition to the zinc die-cast frame, two traction tires that sit on the inside running axles of both bogies in a diagonal arrangement to each other. The model has a PluX22 interface, light change white / red and close coupling kinematics. The PIKO BR 140 is prepared for retrofitting with a sound decoder.
