Novelty 2024: The luxuriously equipped train sets of the Metropolitan Express Train (MET) were in service on the Cologne - Hamburg route between 1999 and 2004.

From the outside, the models impress with their elegant appearance, which is in no way inferior to that of the prototype. The perfectly flush-mounted, crystal-clear windows allow a view into the interior. All carriages have an individual, matching interior design. Another highlight are the sharply engraved bogies and the detailed reproduction of the carriage floors. Sculptural engravings and prototypical paintwork with sharply contoured lettering round off the exterior impression perfectly. On the layout, the powerful class 101 locomotive moves the car set over the tracks as smooth as silk. All of the carriages also have harmonious indirect interior lighting to create a harmonious ambience. For prototypical operation on the layout, the model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder ex works.The four-part train set consists of a class 101 express train locomotive, an Apmz 116.0 express train car with order number 1, an Apmkz 116.6 express train car with order number 3 and an Apmbzf 116.8 express train control car with order number 7.
