Novelty 2024: Shape variant of the Austrian Rh 1010 of the ÖBB in epoch III The technically sophisticated and contemporary PIKO Expert model is characterised by a prototypical implementation of its prototype locomotive with the finest paintwork and printing. Equipped with a powerful five-pole motor combined with two precisely balanced flywheel masses, the PIKO model impresses with its high tractive power, excellent smooth running and prototypical maximum speed. The model is equipped ex works with a PSD XP sound decoder including the largest possible loudspeaker and has digitally switchable lighting in the drivers cabs.

The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test.These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
