GER: Sound-E-Lok E 17 DB III Wechselstromversion, inkl. PIKO Sound-Decoder

Novelty 2024: A moulded version of the class 117 as a DB E 17 in Era III. The model reproduces the striking shapes of the prototype true to scale. The locomotive is also impressive in its details, as it has delicate handrails and roof lines as well as free-standing sandboxes and springs. The specific features of the prototype were taken into account in the model realisation, including the front design and the three-part front windows. Technically, the PIKO model has its finger on the pulse of the times and has silky-smooth running characteristics, good tractive power and a light change fitted as standard. Like the lighting in the drivers cab and engine room, this is designed using the latest LED technology. The locomotive is equipped ex works with a matching PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker.

The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test.These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
