GER: Sound-Diesellok BR 231 DR IV Wechselstromversion, inkl. PIKO Sound-Decoder

Novelty 2024: Printed version of the DR class 231 in Era IV. Based exactly on the prototype, the model has the large front and side windows of the first delivery series. Just as typical were the separately attached handrails in front of the drivers cabs and the tidy roof. Model railway enthusiasts should also be impressed by the precisely reproduced, robust bogie detailing, which can withstand the tough everyday operating conditions on the model railway. The motor, which has two flywheels, together with the heavy die-cast zinc frame and the elegant cardan shaft drive on four axles (two wheels covered with traction tyres in a diagonal arrangement) give the model excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder with a large loudspeaker ex works and impresses with a wide range of digital and sound functions.

The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test.These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
