The locomotive radio receiver (#35040) offers all the operating features of the analog control units of the #35008 set with a few extras: The locomotive radio receiver has a handy design and fits in most garden railroad locomotives. It also has 2 function contacts that are used, among other things, to activate horn/whistle and bell on a separate sound module. The receiver is designed for battery operation (batteries not included). Alternatively, the receiver can be operated with a DC power source with a voltage of 7-22 volts, e.g. the voltage applied to the track. It has connections for motor/ the light as well as 2 function outputs. With the locomotive receiver (#35040) and your battery-equipped garden railroad locomotive, you can remotely control the train from anywhere - e.g., on dirty or currentless track!
