BR 181.2 Electric Luxembourg DB IV
Novelty 2024: Variant of the DB class 181.2 with printing Luxembourg in Era IV. The PIKO model of the important multi-system locomotive series 181.2 shows all the relevant details of its prototype and impresses with the finest paintwork and printing, raised nameplates on the sides, specially attached front handles and door handle bars, sharply engraved bogie covers, fine insulators and pantographs with different collector strips. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The drivers cab and engine room lighting fitted as standard can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder, as can the tail lights, which work depending on the direction of travel. A powerful five-pole motor with flywheels, which drives all four axles, ensures excellent driving characteristics. The heavy PIKO model has two traction tyres and a heavy die-cast zinc frame for high tractive forces. The PIKO 181.2 is prepared for uncomplicated retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker. A PluX22 digital interface is available on the tidy circuit board for easy installation of a suitable decoder.
